Grand WorldPride Parade
When: Sunday, June 29th, 1:00 PM
Where: Rally at Church & Bloor
Toronto has one of the world’s BIGGEST Pride Parades and it can only get BIGGER for WorldPride!
Come join us for a fun filled stroll down Yonge Street. Represent your Deaf* Queer & Trans* Communities and raise visibility. This year’s theme for ORAD is “I love Sign Language”. We will be marching with signs demanding our rights to live in Sign Language! You cannot miss this event!
To join in, simply show up to the Rally location at Church & Bloor. An ORAD group will be there early starting at 12 PM. Hope to see you there!
From the official WorldPride Parade webpage:
This year, Toronto celebrates 34 years of Pride and the excitement of hosting WorldPride 2014. From the corner of Church St and Bloor St all the way down Yonge St to Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto’s LGBTTIQQ2SA communities will dance to celebrate our victories, march to honour our losses, and RISE UP to keep moving forward. Tell us your stories through art direction, costume design, choreography, music and special effects. Go glitz & glam. Be colourful and creative. Go big. And have fun!
Pride Toronto, as the organizer of WorldPride 2014, expects everyone to behave with openness, respect, and support. After all, the WorldPride Parade is not only about Pride in your community, but celebrating diversity and the variety of life in Toronto while respecting differences amongst its citizens and visitors, and creating an inclusive experience for all. Pride Toronto encourages participation by all groups, be they community groups, businesses or organizations.
